What is an Institutional Repository?

An institutional repository is an archive for collecting, preserving and disseminating digital copies of the intellectual output of an institution, with an aim to preserve and provide access to that research. It is an excellent platform for working papers or copies of published articles and conference papers, in addition to presentations and other works not published elsewhere.
